The Whole 115 Yards and the
AVW Fan Club present…

Officially launching on 24th September 2024, Part of the Pride: An AVW Podcast is the home of your new favourite Aston Villa Women’s podcast!

For two years, The Whole 115 Yards: Women’s Football Podcast has been the home to Freya and Lyndsey discussing the world of women’s football (in particular, Aston Villa Women). We’ve created a fantastic community of like-minded friends in the process and we couldn’t be prouder of how much we’ve grown since we started.

However, the time has now come to expand our humble podcast and we can’t wait to share our new venture with you!

Teaming up with some incredible members of the AVW Fan Club, we will begin to host our LIVE podcast every Thursday night (starting 3rd October) and we encourage every women’s football fan, whether you support Aston Villa Women or a fan of the game in general, to come and join us in the chat each week to help grow our already incredible community!

Do I have to wait? Can I watch anything now?

3 pre-recorded episodes of the podcast are live now on Spotify (and wherever you get your podcasts) and the video versions are on our Youtube channel (see below) covering Aston Villa Women’s pre-season, our thoughts on the transfer window and of course Villa’s opening WSL match against current champions Chelsea!

So what will happen to the existing
‘The Whole 115 Yards’ podcast?

The Whole 115 Yards: Women’s Football Podcast will still continue to exist of course, we aren’t going anywhere! However, the platform will just have a different focus moving forward.
This will allow us to use our platform to share the stories of football clubs, players and staff across the women’s football pyramid, especially those who don’t receive much/any attention from the mainstream media.
So far, we have started this shift in focus to include special features of the pod such as ‘Meet the Manager’ (first episode with Lincoln United Women’s manager, Ricky Pledger, is available now. Click here to watch!) and we hope to continue to produce more fantastic content in the future.

Sounds great!
